The remains of the lava from the Vesuvius Volcano, in the region of Napoli, brought fertile land to the Amalfi Coast, where the famous Sfusato Amalfitano Lemons, grapes, tomatoes and olive trees are grown. For this reason, the region is known as one of the “freshest” cuisines in Italy!
A tourist destination since ancient Rome, the Amalfi Coast, or Divina Costiera, is a paradise of incomparable beauty and natural diversity located in southern Italy. The Costa receives thousands of people every year who are attracted by the crystal clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the cliffs set in small colorful houses and the local cuisine.
The Amalfi Coast was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, for its unique topography and history presented in the region's dishes and architecture. Sights such as the Cathedral of Sant Andrea, the Cathedral Santa Assunta date back centuries, with peculiar architectures that mix Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance and Norman-Arabic.
The Mediterranean climate region covers 13 cities, from Vetri Sul Mare to Positano, further north. There are only 50km of coastline that can be used very well with good travel planning. An important tourist destination in Italy, the Amalfi Coast continues to preserve the Mediterranean essence that makes it an unforgettable destination for all travelers who visit it.
Meet some cities:
Ravello
Located at the top of Minori and Maiori, it has one of the most breathtaking views of the coast, in a mountainous region, 350m above sea level. It is considered the “most romantic” city in the region, as it is an attractive attraction for weddings. To get there it is necessary to travel from Amalfi, with a journey of approximately 25 minutes, which can be done via transfer or bus. Between June and September the Ravello Festival is held, with classical music concerts, on a suspended stage and an incredible view of the sea, which makes it also known as the “city of Music”.
What to know: Villa Cimbrone, Villa Rufolo and Auditorium Oscar Niemeyer.
Positano
The vertical city has a blue panorama, with a colorful background and something unique. With houses in shades of peach, terracotta and pink, the place has grand villas that make up the scenery of one of the most luxurious places in the world. Unlike typical beaches, in Positano there are dark stones in place of sand, which contrast with the set of colorful umbrellas and the clear blue sea. Another attraction is fashion: from beautiful handmade sandals, handmade and personalized; even linen, widely used in the Moda Mare concept. Jewelers, haute cuisine restaurants and sophisticated hotels integrate the atmosphere of joy and luxury of Positano.

amalfi
Historic and modern city, considered the center of the Amalfi Coast. There it is possible to discover everything from Religious Tourism, in the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, to the famous lemon trees of the Amalfi sfusato, where it is possible to taste the only type of sweet lemon in the world. Another curiosity of Amalfi is the production of the special paper Charta Bambagina, made of cotton and created in the Middle Ages, present in old letters from the Maritime Republic of Amalfi.
